Lead Developer
September 1997 – July 1999
Summary:
I had become a solid developer with Macromedia Director, and it had become a high-demand skillset in the world of multimedia. Horizons was doing a lot of work in the multimedia CD-ROM area and I had the opportunity to work on a number of titles and projects with clients of all sizes. Again, none of these titles are likely to exist at this point, but the interaction design principles for multimedia haven’t really changed much. The affordances and story-telling principles are just as important in an eCommerce site today.
Responsibilities:
Lead developer for several multimedia projects. Clients included Bank One, AirNet Systems, Beginner’s Bible and others.
- Lead develop for projects using Macromedia Director and Flash
- Meet with clients to determine scope and requirements of projects, as well as brainstorm additional solutions
Collaborate with media creators to develop wireframes and storyboards to insure usability and flow, as well as coordinate deliverables for development
