Learner

StrengthsFinder defines being a Learner this way:

People who are especially talented in the Learner theme have a great desire to learn and want to continuously improve. In particular, the process of learning, rather than the outcome, excites them.

I earned my B.S in Psychology from Wright State University in 1994. In particular, I majored in Human-Computer Interaction Design. I found the idea of making things user-friendly, and working with people to understand their needs in a computer interaction, particularly intriguing. I’ve been involved in User Experience (UX) for several years before it was called UX.

But the best part of this field is it’s demand to always be expanding your skills, and to always be able to quickly become a SME in a new area so that you can help communicate to users in meaningful, and easily understandable, ways. This ability for fast assimilation and interpretation allows me to come into any industry and role and start generating successes in a short period of time.
